Dan Gol Korean Restaurant

Great food, great service. All that you can ask for in a restaurant. Happened upon this place since the in laws live around the area. Food came in great proportions and so tasty. Super authentic as it’s also owned by Koreans. I think the owners are an older couple and they just made the experience so much better. Seems like a lot of passion and care go into the food. Army stew was so good! Boiling the entire time and the broth was nicely flavoured. Pork bone or beef rib soup was great. Can’t remember which one we had. The meat was so tender and juicy and just infused with that pork bone broth. Banchan was delicious and just kept ordering the potato. Needless to say, service was on point and at no time did we ever feel rushed. Ordered a lot of food and everything came out quickly and nothing was missed. Parking can be tough at times, but the plaza is so big, you will find spots, even if it’s just a little further out. Great job overall!

Stopped by for a quick lunch to try this place for the first time. We were not disappointed. Service was thoughtful and efficient. Food was excellent. We ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup and the bulgolgi bebimbap. They came with several small side dishes, all very tasty. If you like rich flavours, this a great place for you. I recommend the house hot sauce... It's not burn-your-mouth-to-oblivion hot, it's only got a slight kick, but very flavourful. 5% discount if you pay cash, so hit the ATM before you arrive. My only nit to pick with the experience was regarding how the noodle soup was served. The soup was certainly big enough to share, but the spoons for eating it were too small to use for putting our servings into our individual bowls. Also, the big bowl and our individual bowls were made of metal, which looks luxurious I suppose, but it makes the soup cool too quickly on a cold day. Nonetheless, these are very minor complaints, and since I can't give them a 4.9 overall, I'm happy to give them five stars for excellent food and service.

Wow, easily the best Korean restaurant I've been to. The jjangjangmyun, croquettes and jam pong were all amazing. Great portions as well and reasonably priced.

Great food. Pork bone soup suits Hong Kong people's taste. Side dishes are delicious and refills are free. Nice staff and atmosphere. This is my 6th time here.

Amazing food! I really enjoyed the rice cakes as it was chewy and not too spicy. There was a lot of side dishes which I enjoyed alongside the main dishes. The size portions are generous and great to share with people!

Came twice within the last couple months and the food is constantly delicious and the staff are lovely + so attentive. I've had the chili fried chicken, bulgogi tteokbokki, cheese corn, and bulgogi bibimbap. Every dish was flavorful. The portions are generous. I enjoyed everything about my meal and their service.

A hidden gem in the middle of Scarborough. Was craving some cold noodles one day and found this place close by and with good reviews. The Dangol naengmyun is refreshing and less vinegar-y than traditional mul naengmyun. The soon tofu stew (jigae) was served hot and fresh. The seafood pancake (haemul pajeon) was crispy on the edges and large. Side dishes are standard fare and service is quick without frills. Will definitely come again!
